Using Your Insurance at Maui Recovery
Out-of-network benefits may help cover part of the cost of treatment. Coverage depends on your plan, so the quickest way to know is a confidential benefits check.
Maui Recovery is an out-of-network provider. Many PPO plans include out-of-network benefits, which may help cover part of residential treatment. What your plan pays depends on your deductible, coinsurance and the plan’s rules. Send us your insurance details or call (877) 317-8260, and our admissions team will check your benefits confidentially.
What “out-of-network” means
Maui Recovery does not have a contract with any insurance company. Instead, we work with the out-of-network benefits that many PPO and similar plans include. HMO and EPO plans usually have limited out-of-network benefits. Not sure what kind of plan you have? Call us and we’ll check your options.
What affects what you pay
- Deductible: the amount you pay before your plan’s out-of-network benefits start.
- Coinsurance: your share of each covered cost, up to your plan’s out-of-pocket maximum.
- Allowed amount: the most your plan recognizes for a service. You may owe any difference between that amount and the facility’s charge.
- Approval: most plans require approval before a residential stay. Our team handles this with your plan.
Insurance pays for care your plan considers medically necessary. Some parts of a stay may not be covered. We’ll go over this with you after we check your benefits.
