My role at Maui Recovery is Clinical Director. Typically, my day involves working with clients, conducting one-on-one sessions, facilitating groups, managing the clients’ day-to-day movements, and engaging with the Executive Director to ensure quality care. I received my undergraduate education in sociology at Colorado State University and my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling with an emphasis on addiction at Walden University.  I am currently working on my PhD in counseling education and supervision, focusing on trauma.  I have worked with children on the spectrum, inmates in prison, community treatment, and sober living programs providing one-on-one treatment.  I have also written curriculums, trained employees in trauma responsiveness, and taught courses on cultural competency.  I also serve in the United States Army Reserve, where I was trained as a behavioral health technician.

I enjoy working at Maui Recovery because I can get close to client care.  Maui Recovery allows me to work with clients one-on-one, allowing for more personal care.  I am passionate about learning more modalities to bring to my work environment, training, and becoming more proficient in my field.  Professionally, I am also passionate about teaching and engaging with new masters-level students to aid them in their graduate journey.  I also enjoy spending time with my family, going to the gym, and reading about different cultures, which fuels my love of travel.
